Palpatine arrest in ROTS is handled so laughably bad.
The only PT levels of cringe that I can come up with in the ST is Canto and broom boy.
Kylo Rey lightsaber battle > Anakin ObiWan lightsaber battle.
You know what is supposed to be the most important lightsaber battle in the PT.

I just saw this last night. I thought it was just ok. Not horrible, not great. Just ok. As a standalone, maybe this would have been better. However, it feels a lot like a rushed combo of IW and EG. 
This movie was playing way too safe. I'd prefer had people who were supposed to have died, stayed dead in this case.
I was hoping for Rey to own up to being a Palpatine in the end. Whatever happened to not being afraid of who she was?

Why, cos most of the Jedi are taken out too easily? You don't think they hesitated to defend themselves against their own supreme chancellor and/or weren't anticipating a fully fledged Sith Lord?

I've been really curious to know what kind of sabers they were using for that show. The lighting effects were amazing!
That was so much better than the movie. No distracting CGI nonsense backgrounds, no rope swinging, no videogame floating platforms - and most importantly no ''From MY point of view the jedi are evil!''

I was so fixated on their duel I forgot about the orchestra lol
They should?ve had no movie screen just the 2 guys.
I was waiting for a musician to put down their clarinet and whip out a double bladed saber lol

Your crazy. That fight sucked and was 5 min long. They fight like they are swinging baseball bats at each other. Lay off the beer when u watch these movies.
Also that fight had no emotional weight to it cause kylo lost so many times so you know rey is going to win the fight again.
You can?t even compare that epic soundtrack booming in the background as anakin and obiwan go at it. What memorable songs does the ST have again?
Just stop lol. Don?t compare rots to these movies. Bad dialogue, bad cgi and all you?ll still lose every time. That opera scene alone ****s on all the ST movies combined. Hell even some attack of the clones scenes blow ST away. Some.
I knew the outcome of the ROTS fight and it still left me on the edge of my seat cause it was edited and done better.

Sorry I won?t stand for ROTS slander. Especially if someone says a lightsaber battle in these new movies are better than the Mustafar battle . Hell the fight between obiwan and darth maul was 10 times better.
Rey abd kylo fought on a hunk of junk in the middle of big waves .She flips over one huge wave. That?s all I remember

Nothing involving Rey carries any weight or drama. She wins every fight, flies and repairs every ship, moves every rock, discovers every power, etc etc etc. She doesn't even die when she is dead.

That?s why it?s funny seeing people compare this to ROTS. Don?t even lol. With all it?s faults, anakin still felt like a character who could die. Even though you knew the outcome of the battle of mustafar it still was more dramatic cause you knew the stakes and the relationship they had, rushed or not. There is no weight or emotional stakes to any ST lightsaber fight. The main character beat the main baddie in her first lightsaber duel, why feel any fear for her in the last movie.

ROTS is not even a real movie it?s actually worse than the real 2003 CW cartoon.
Lucas wanted people to take Anakin fall so seriously as a drama he inserted Anakin killing those younglings little did he know he was taking the movie so far off the rails into silly territory that one can only laugh when Anakin finally turns to camera with his silly red eyes.
The cinematic fall of Anakin is so laughably bad only thing left to do was the exclamation point of Anakin waking up and literally walking like Frankenstein then letting out a NOOOO!
That?s the PT in a nut shell....NOOOO!

Palps face and skills with a saber ruined that scene for me.
Anakin vs Obi Wan = most disappointing action scene of all time.. So easy to get right and Lucas blew it.
It had some cool moments but it had some bad to really bad moments and it kept cutting to the Palps vs Yoda scene... Which is just awful.
Maul vs Qui Gon and Obi Wan is much better on a technical level and all saber battles in the OT kill it on an emotional level.
I would say the duel in TROS was more interesting on a visual level compared to ROTS.... But much of they could have something to due with the bad green screen in that film... But I loved the look of the water battle in TROS... Plus its the one time Rey is getting beat.
Music was better in ROTS though.

Lol but you think the ST is better? Nothing but crap fan service, characters who don?t develop, bringing back dead characters to get nostalgic ass in seats. A character who never loses and can fly and fight with a lighsaber with ease despite any training.
A crap villain who whines throughout more so than anakin and lost every fight he was in with the main character? His presence was nothing.
Then we have finn who was built up to be this jedi like dude but is something friendzoned lackey to REY who he barely knows.
Compared to the fall of a dude trying to save his wife so he killed everything he believed in and lost everything he had only to be burned and confined to a torturous suit. Yea it wasn?t the BEST thing ever but atleast it knew the story it wanted to tell and had a plan.
That?s the ST in a nut shell. Durrrr what do we do now?
Just a bunch of people scrambling around like idiots trying to pin what will make the most money.
PT wasn?t perfect by any means but Lucas had a beginning middle and end.
The best thing to happen to this trilogy is Luke waking up from being passed out drinking to much of that green tit milk.
Meanwhile ROTS has memorable moments and quotes while the only thing anyone remembers positive about the ST is that one storm trooper that had that electric stick thing.

Nah we gonna have to disagree on that one. All I saw was splashing water and two people swinging lightsabers like two crazy people. Looked bland and uninspired to me. A planet surrounded by literal fire just has more stakes and is more dramatic to me. Especially when the characters are on equal footing.

One explanation I've seen for Rey winning every fight is that Kylo didn't WANT to defeat her. From the start he's offering to train her.

Takodana Forest: Kylo incapacitates and captures Rey with minimal effort
Starkiller Base: Rey defeats a massively wounded Kylo who wanted to train her and was under orders from Snoke to bring her back alive
Snoke's Throne Room: Rey and Kylo both try to grab Luke's lightsaber, it's a draw
Pasaana Desert: Rey tries to use the Force to make the transport land, Kylo's resistance makes her blow it up instead
Kylo's Star Destroyer Quarters/Kijimi: Rey can't beat him, Kylo learns where she is and deliberately ends the fight
DS II Throne Room: Kylo begins the duel by not even drawing his weapon, Rey can't land a single hit
DS II Wreckage (outside): Kylo absolutely dominates Rey, she is defeated physically, mentally, and emotionally. He is on the brink of finishing her off when Leia intervenes and causes him to stop fighting.
So...at what point exactly did Rey "win every fight...?"

STOP. Nobody knew if he wants to train her. What part in the movie did it say he wanted to train and bring her back alive. Please don't say you read it in a comic book or another form of literature cause thats lazy. I don't recall anytime in the movie where he said he wanted to train REy in TFA. If he wanted to train her he had a funny way of sowing it. Most people who train other people anticipate getting sliced in the face?
He fought that girl with the intent to kill. Draw my ass. The fight they had in that throne room Kylo was still knocked out while REy was gone.
TROS fight. Doesn't matter if Kylo WAS winning. He STILL lost. So again. SHe won every major fight they had. Training her my ass lmao.
Stop with the excuses. Bad writing is bad writing my guy

IS that even confirmed. That fight in TFA seemed like more of a "to the death" fight. I'm pretty damn sure if someone was superior in sword combat then the other and wanted to train the other, the master would look pretty stupid getting slashed across the face.
it's like taking MMA classes for the first time and kicking your instructor's ass . Makes no damn sense. That's just a silly excuse for poor writing
