I'll be curious if HT will still include the gigantor thighs fatsuit they have with each Boba release. Either way, stoked for the figure. Hoping they make way more from Mando too.

2019 is turning out to be a great year for Star Wars fans, seems to be a little something for everyone!

I think I would have bought this if they had all the armor swap out options for the first season. Instead I think HT will milk it with an end of season look coming after this one is out. They'll probably make all the Mandalorians in the show, too - like they tend to with Iron Men and Stormtroopers. At least there will be choices. I'm holding out for the full chrome-armor suit.

I mentioned it before but that the flightsuit and vest are a different color on the full Beskar costume compared to the brown one. So maybe Hot Toys learned that deluxe's don't sell well? Who really knows

It's the only version of Fett that Sideshow hasn't sold out yet and it's been around for awhile. Maybe it's just better to sell them individually ala Iron Men and the other individual Fett versions have. I know it works out better for me since I won't have to buy a deluxe version and have an extra set just sitting around in the box doing nothing.

There should be no doubt that I totally agree with both of these statements. But we are three episodes in and I?m mostly just wondering why they made it so that Mandalorians do not remove their helmets when they clearly do in other canon material. I just like Pascals face a lot too and wouldn?t mind seeing it at some point in the series.

Maybe that's a recent practice, though I think it's unlikely.

... yes, I think in the long run it would make more room for development if he could take his helmet off - since there?s no canon reason for him not to (till now). For now it?s fine, even great, that he keeps his helmet on, but when we get to season three... ...

Agree I'd be fine if it eventually comes off, for an emotional, or dramatic story turn if it's right.
As far as the "rule" being written therefore unbreakable, pretty much there was a scene where the Mando tribe are like; we never go outside more than one at a time, ...cut to -> all The Mando's outside more than one at a time together! LOL!
Obviously the narrative is going to dedicate what "rules" will be broken or not, and often a "rule:" is established, in fact so it can dramatically be broken.
The question is when and to what ends, there is a theme being built around identity, losing it, finding it, what defines it, etc, is a big part of, it, whichever way it goes.
Right now it's all about having no face and name is what defines him.
There might also be more to him.

And just to keep this on topic about the actual figure...

From the EW pic. you can also tell the knife transfers over to and is still part of his later Beskar armor look.
So everything seems to indicate it is a standard (meaning not something he might just lose right off (leaves in somebodies corpse), just picks up and discards in one scene) but likely an ongoing element to his costume.

You've probably all seen by now. He does use the knife pretty regularly.
Interesting detail about the Mando's knife! If you look closely at the blade as he braces himself for the Mudhorn charge. You can see it's actually vibrating, which explains how it helped take down such a huge beast.
Also check during the fight with Paz Visla (the heavy Mando guy voiced by Favreau), just as they pause before gutting each-others necks. If you look closely you can see these are Vibrating-Blades.

Again, it's definitely a standard part of his arsenal, hoping they do add it to the final product.

Mandalorians not taking off helmets was NEVER a thing before Nov. 22, 2019.

My guess the reason why would probably wrapped up in the Great Purge event.

Immediately after the downfall of New Republic and the establisment of Galatic Empire. Mandalore planet was besieged by the Empire, the Mandalorians were brutally oppressed, and hunted down. Their forces were scattered to small factions accorss the Galaxy. Thats why the thick guy in ep3 said "we"re living hidden like sand rats" and "our strength once in number". Probably due to the same reason that they've decided to no longer take off their helmets, you know to conceal their identities, for safety reason.

Yeah, I just don't see any reason to after making a point of never taking it off. Especially when they've already drove the point home that it's not the Mandalorian way to remove it.

I hope it doesn't come down to that silly Hollywood trope where whoever he falls in love with, takes off his helmet, so she can see his eyes and they get all sappy? No thanks. Glad he puts on back the helmet after that chick tries to take it off in the trailer.

Hiding their numbers yes, but it's not about hiding their identity from the Emp. it's about having no identity among each other, outside being a Mando.

Anyway, hope they add the knife to the figure!

Rebels is 3-5 years before ANH from what I remember. I think the Purge must've after since the Mando's were rising up against Imperial Rule when they were last on the show.

Idk why everyone wants full Beskar version. It is so generic and boring. I wish he never changed the old armor parts.
