Almost as if The Fandommenace and Geeks and Gamers took over the thread. lol

Some of my opinions might coincide but these youtubers have set views that they blanket apply to everything. I've come to view them as just the opposite side of the coin to SJWs. Reverse snowflakes, making a mountain out of every molehill. The only one I like now is Critical Drinker because at least he's funny.

Anyway, I prefer to take things on a case by case basis. As a result - I like Rogue One and Solo. I don't like The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi (therefore, am cynical about and have very low expectations for TROS)

That one shot with the Falcon is so Dense. I Love it :)

Yep some of those guys are amusing at times but they're their own "NPC's" who parrot the same repetitive talking points and criticisms at all things Disney SW, regardless of whether it correctly applies or not.

Reverse snowflakes is a perfect description in many instances.

Is that a rebel/resistance fleet/gathering? I thought the resistance was down to one ship and like twenty people at the end of TLJ? Or is that image just a space traffic jam the falcon passes through or something?

Building on the momentum of TLJ, every ship runs out of gas in this one.

It's the cavalry arriving. Scattered vessels from around the New Republic end up coming to help end the conflict. The year between TLJ and TROS would've included time spent doing recruiting.

This is why I've always laughed at the idea that the FO was like a new Empire. You can't be an Empire without any actual galactic authority. :lol

Just because the FO blew up the Hosnian System (including the Senate) doesn't mean that other systems don't have their own assets to combat an attempted coup of the New Republic. What you see in that shot is evidence of that.

This is the most negative thread I've ever seen. I stop in here and there to see if anybody even discusses anymore, but sadly it's a bunch of negative people who will hate anything new SW Based on spoilers read and not seen in the context of the movie. Is this what fuels you guys? Hating anything that's new because old is the only thing that's good?

Jesus Christ I'm out. This forum is nothing but losers complaining about stuff they haven't even seen yet. Bye.

Ahhhhh shut up. It?s a forum. People are discussing. Don?t like it make a group hug thread or something

Oh man, I cannot wait for this movie! Its gonna be the best Star Wars yet! Disney has done amazing things with this franchise and I get hard just thinking about whats to cum. Star Wars for life, man!

Is that really better?

TLJ started off with a WTF to begin with. The opening crawl itself didn't even make any sense.

"The FIRST ORDER reigns. Having decimated the peaceful Republic, Supreme Leader Snoke now deploys his merciless legions to seize military control of the galaxy."

Like you said, they blew up a handful of planets out of hundreds that made up the New Republic. And NO space battle or invasions against any of these world's defenses accept the stupid Resistance. And TLJ takes place immediately after TFA. Stupid RJ and KK's story group. The First Order controlled NOTHING yet. All they did was strike first to start a new Galactic War/Conflict.

Exactly. I dabbled with a few of them for a while but the patterns and predictability become apparent. You've seen one video you've seen them all; you know what every one of them thinks and you can have a pretty accurate guess what they'll think about the next hot topic - which of course they all have to do a video on with some hyperbolic title to get them clicks. Meh.

As I said, at least Critical Drinker has his great sarcastic humour that keeps me coming back. If I feel like a dose of Anti-Woke I'll go to him alone. Otherwise I'm not interested in immersing myself in it anymore. Strong am I with the cynicism (see TROS and Terminator Dark Fate discussion) but not that strong.

So that's why I sort of take exception to possibly being lumped in with certain well-known youtubers just because I've voiced some negative views.

It's somehow less thrilling knowing that if our ragtag group of rebels fail, there's legions of random people ready to rise up and take care of business though. I don't know why the resistance was so depressed in TLJ.:lol

I mean the rebels in the OT were so hard up for help - alone in their fight and "what you see is all we got" - they needed teddy bears to help save the day.

And that is some serious recruiting efforts given there seemed to be only a dozen rebels left at the end of TLJ - maybe linkedin, Facebook and gofundme exists in some form in the ST universe. :lol

It's just they made such a huge deal of "this is it" (both personnel and ships) in TLJ, that this was the end of the resistance, that it seems a bit of a cop-out to say "oh, we made some calls over the past months and it seems everyone hates the FO and is willing to show up enmasse and fight them"

They even specifically made a point to say that no one answered the call for help therefore a spark was needed to ignite the fire that will bring the FO down.

Damn i?m good at remembering dumb **** lol

And then TLJ ends with Leia saying "we have all we need." What I take away from that is that surviving the encounter on Crait was the critical thing (what Luke allowed them to do!). Now, those few in the Falcon can go to other parts of the New Republic and point out what Starkiller Base did to five planets.

Do you really think it would be that hard to win recruits to help the Resistance when the FO built something to destroy entire planets, and then went through with it!?

I think a year is enough time for the legendary Leia Organa to convince others to help her stop the FO and preserve the Republic. Those ships in the trailer will be the way Leia's "we have all we need" proves correct.
