The scuplt looks exactly same as Jedi Luke. I dont see any major alteration being done to this supposed well-upgraded 2.0.

That hair sucks...
Why not go with the original?

Have they ever released a human with *only* side looking eyes? What are the odds this will include another head sculpt with forward looking eyes? I really need this guy for my collection. And, honestly, I’d be totally fine with this headsculpt. But those eyes are so darn limiting when it comes to poses!

Yeah they've done it with figures where they re-use the headsculpt. Like the Tom Holland sculpt, it was straight but battle damaged for the Homemade suit, then looking to his right for the Tech suit, then looking straight again for the Iron Spider.

Original doesn't really look like that though (that's the proto.) It's nicely finished but its still one of the weaker Luke likenesses to me. It has a bit of a generic square-jawed dude combined with Luke vibe.

I like the sculpt ok, but that hair is just about perfect.

It's before HT decided Luke had metallic copper hair. The hair has a bit of an animated movie hero look but yeah it's a very nicely detailed sculpt.

This is what's funny about Luke likenesses. One man's trash is another man's treasure, even if it's never at those extreme ends of the scale.:lol I was amazed to hear how much some loved the SSC Luke Jedi headsculpt vs the HT Luke Jedi.

People kept praising the HT non-BD Luke Bespin and I never saw it in pics, so bought it less than a year ago and it still kind of leaves me a bit cold even in-hand. It's solid, a really nice head, with apps that still hold up pretty well today, and it certainly has some Hamill from a couple of angles, but it doesn't feel close to the best 1/6 Luke to me.

Overall it still feels like a handsome square-jawed guy who looks like Mark Hamill. I used it for my ESB medical center custom because the hair matches pretty well to that scene, but I'm really not sure I would have kept this head for my main Luke Bespins.

It's quite strange, but the Dx07's hair actually has a sense of volume to it, with clumps of hair rather than being perfectly combed down, perfectly straight hair that you get with modern Hot Toys figures. I really wish they'd go back to that sort of sculpting for the hair, just because its more realistic and gives the figures actual personality.

I think I have to agree with you there Talibane. While I do like the DX head and still think it’s the best Empire Luke sculpt we’ve gotten I still have issues with it. If this new sculpt is similar to the HT Jedi sculpt and the hair can be interchanged, it stands to reason that the gritted teeth sculpt could also use the hair from this as well.

I will be watching the development of this release with great interest.

Personally, I don't see Like at all in the DX07 heads. I think the ROTJ sculpt is the best Luke likeness out there, I just think the expression is off putting to some.

I actually think the DX07 clean sculpt is the best OT Luke likeness.

It really is.

It's honestly the hair sculpt that hurts the likeness. The first time I removed the hair to adjust the PERS, I was really amazed at just how good the sculpt is by itself.

I like to tell myself that I don’t need this since I have the DX07 and have two Bespin Luke figures already, but I’d probably get this as well. I’d probably end up using one for a Dagobah look where he has off the jacket and just the undershirt.
