Correct me if I'm wrong please, but I thought in one of the behind the scenes for part 2, didn't that board really hover?
 
:lol Yep. They've had something like this at the Franklin Institute since I dunno, 1990 or so for kids to play with.


To be fair...there have been desk items like pen holders that I saw back in the late 70's or early 80's accomplishing the same basic effect.

What I find to be cool is the though of being able to use it as a display for 1:6 scale action figurs. If I could hook up a setup like this to my Speeder Bike and then Put a Scout on it...that would be truly badass. But you can tell by how careful he had to be setting it in place that it will not be easy.
 
A speederbike would be insane! Or maybe Marty but who really collects BTTF?

I would be afraid if someone bumped it the reverse magnetism would send it flying somewhere, or flip it upside down abruptly smashing the paint or collectible on top.
