Okay the one that I made was a single cube one for Grievous. You could also make a double cube cheaper though.

    For the single you need

The entire single height extension unit

    top and bottom of this

and the sides of this cabinet

For the double unit you need a

    and a

I bought a tool at lowes that allows me to put screws in at an angle and attach the tops of the units together. Then do the same for the bottom. I have done this twice now and it works well. I will take pictures next time I do one and post up step by step instructions. After attaching them together place another unit on top and you cant see the seem from the outside.

As for lighting someone could buy a bunch of surface mount LED and then just build a pcb that could be battery powered.

    That is really cool looking.

I wish they had not stopped making the Vegby doors like those. I bought all that I could find of them when I found out they were being discontinued. I really like the 50" doors.

Anyone here using something like this from IKEA?

    http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S79884856

I like the looks of it, but can't tell if it will house PFs or not.

Do you remember the name of the glass doors you have on your 1:1 bust display, Jason? I wanted to get some and I can't find them on Ikea's site. I remember us talking about some doors being discontinued and I hope its not them.

Great displays everyone. I'll have to take pics of my display should I ever get a camera.

They still make the Tombo doors though.

I can't tell if they're frosted or clear though, from the picture.

Tombo, there we go, thanks. I can't tell if those are frosted or not either. I guess another trip to the store may be in order.

A the very lest this can let me see what size is best for my shelves. I'm debating between the square ones like Jason's and the long skinny ones. The skinny ones are cheaper, but I don't think they are going to look as good with the metal rims going down the middle of the display.

I would definitely go with the square ones. The long skinny ones just dont look very good. I know that they are still making the Tombos.

You can fit 3 in the tallest unit while you only need two of the long skinny doors.

The ones that got discontinued were the Vegbys I ended up with close to 20 of each type after buying out two different stores. I need to go ahead and finish putting together all of the cabinets that I have.
