Battle Beasts Thread

Did anyone else besides me collect Battle Beasts when they were younger? I used to get them alot back then, and still got them in a case in my closet. Watching one of Dan's newest reviews is about the new 2010 Battle Beasts series. They are Minimate's but alot better. At first I was meh on it, but further into it I actually think it is pretty neat and might actually get a few.

So far the only one out is the Toyfair exclusive which is an Alligator. I guess he is coming out later on in the series but with a different paint scheme.

Can't wait to see what other animales they come out with.

Octopus guy and Turtle guy with claw were a couple of my favorites. The mohawk fish guy was cool too.

I do wish they had the heat sensitive things on their chests, but these do have the potential to be very cool.

my current collection. all rubsigns and almost all weapons. if anybody would like to donate to the cause LMK. looking foward to the new versions.

That pic actually has my favorite one of all time. The scorpion guy in the far right corner. He was a badass.

my favorite was the white squid but alas he is one of 2 that i don't have a weapon for.

the new ones look pretty cool. i wish they would include the rubsigns. i think reprolabels used to make replacements.

I never had the squid guy as a kid but he does look pretty awesome.

I do remember Reprolabels making those. Even if they started remaking them, though, I'm not sure there will be anywhere to put them on the Minimates.

As a Kid, I had only two (The Rabbit and the Dog). They were not released in Brazil and I bought those two without even knowing what they were during a vacation on Orlando.

Still have them. A few years ago, I decided to buy some more. They are hard to get in Brazil, bought some on ebay and all. I have 18 now.

I didn't knew they would be re-released. Excelent news.

Why the hell hasn't Takara reissued them? I would get into this new line if it goes on far enough.

I think the ones with the marble like things in the chests are called laszer beasts or something like that. Still basically the same thing though.

Kinda wanna go grab mine for a picture, but mine are trapped in the closet atm.

the lazer beasts came after the run of battle beasts. i think they were exclusive to japan though. hard to find in the US. i remember when i was a kid they used to say on the box that you had a chance to find a rare sunburst rub sign that trumped all the other symbols. but there is no record of one ever being found. it was a lie.

Is that new alligator for sale anywhere?
