Re: Hot Toys - MMS 111 - John Connor (Final Battle Version)- spec + hi-res pics
Hot Toys needs to darken the color of the jacket. It should be more of a faded canvas color instead of green.

May just be the intense lighting the photographer for Hot Toys uses. I bet it would be much darker in person.

Surprised to see this thread wasn't started by Wookster but well done Shandy Man.
This is bought by me. I don't really care that the head is very similar to V1, the fresh cuts on the face are cool. The head kinda does look small but I'm sure it'll be no more so than the first head.
Outfit and accessories look incredible.

I definitely like the clothes on the first one way better but these accessories and the base are awesome!

I'm surprised people are talking about the whole never buy the first one thing, I really don't see this as outdoing the first, you're stuck with the scarred head, or spending another $50+ on eBay to get the clean one, because that's what folks'll charge for it now, the costume is extremely different, the only "improvements are a more fitting base and the hydrobot, but the John himself is about equal to the first to me.
I think it looks great, but I wish the scarring would be more deep as it was in the film.
Also, new TR Blog shots.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS 111 - John Connor (Final Battle Version)- spec + hi-res pics
Well, as I said before, I have no problem owning 2 of the same character however I suppose I can see where people would wish that Hot Toys would announce in advance the figures they intend to make. This would have allowed the people who preferred the outfit from later in the film to wait for that version knowing that it was on the way instead of buying version 1 "just in case". Also the gun mix-up is annoying if you have no wish to buy both versions.

The upside is it has a Q4 release, which I believe they can meet, the sculpt looks the same just with a painted scar on it, costume doesn't seem as complex as v1, this figure looks about Marcus level and he was just about on time.

I hope they meet that release date also. I cant wait to have this figure. My only question is, where is the pda?
EDIT: Why does JC need sploches of blood on his face?

I'd say not seeing the PDA in those shots confirms it's a Toy Hunters Ex., hopefully it'll also be a Sideshow Exclusive, this figure will probably be hinted in this weeks newsletter and go up for sale next week.
As for the blood splotches, havent seen T:S since it came out, but there's probably some there and it adds to him looking beat up, I'm fine with them.
