Great idea for a thread agen and just really beautiful pics you have there..What kind of camera did you use?

Well, I've always loved photography, I just have to start taking more pics...So here's a few of mine that I've taken.

Very good pics. I take it you are using a digital SLR Nikon or Canon. Maybe a 18-200mm lens for the closeups and a 70-300mm for the distance shots?

I've posted these pics on another site awhile back but they are some of my favorites from a trip I took to Maui last spring. Enjoy!

Haleakala Crater at 4:00 in the morning. It was absolutely freezing (and that's coming from a Canadian) but absolutely worth it for these pics.









Helicopter tour with a 'Road to Hana' adventure on the north side of the island. Twisty road with lots of incredible scenery.

I use a Canon 40D with multiple lenses, my favorite being 70-300mm. Since nature is hard to get close to, a longer lens is necessary. Honestly I'd like a better one, say 500mm.

SquiderM3 - I'm so jealous of your trip to Hawai'i. One of these days I've got to get there. Great photos! The sunrise over the mountains is breathtaking.

Thanks for the compliment agen!, I appreciate it....Honestly man, all I have is my lil 8 mp Canon Powershot SD1100 IS...It's really a great lil camera and I love it.

Believe me, you have no idea how much I wish I could have the kind of camera and lenses you have, but I just can't afford it

Thanks AK. All I use is a standard Sony Cybershot DSC F707. Old camera, but I like it a lot...at least for my purposes as I am far from professional.

Hahaha....great photos, jinxx. I particularly like the middle one, with the forced perspective.

I just started out in photography when i took a B&W class using a 35mm Canon Rebel SLR. Unfortunately all the camera shops closed in my area, and the riteaides and CVS's don't put pics on discs anymore. So i am stuck. I have all these rolls of film that need developed but I don't want the physical picture. I guess i can have them printed and then scanned but I will lose the picture quality. What should I do? I am already planning to upgrade to a Canon Digital SLR and I will be able to still use my lenses but what about my current film?

Is there a nearby Wal-Mart that will put them on discs for you?

I haven't checked them. There is one nearby. I will call them and see if they do it. Thanks.

Those are some great shots. I took this one on the Ride The Ducks tour a couple years ago... I kind of like it.
