Sideshow Avengers PFs/CQs new home

Finally got off my rear and started working on some custom pedestal type displays for my PFs and CQs. This one will be the new home of the Avengers (Green Hulk, Thor, Captain America and Iron Man).

Still a work in progress. Need to put on the top molding, then the fun part of filling nail holes, any gaps and the lovely sanding.

Can't decide if I want to paint it black or stain it to get close to the color of my Billy bookcases (pictured at bottom).

Any critiques are welcome.













If I stain it I'll get as close as I can to this color.

After framing a basement the old fashioned way....HELL NO!!! One of the best tool investments I made. I've ruined too much trim work with the trusty ole arm powered hammer....nail gun all the way now.

Looks sweet. Lot's of support inside I hope !

Considering what's going on top....you bet yer azz. Ended up being a lot heavier than I thought it would be.....wife said to get one of my friends to help bring it in the house when I'm done.

That will be a sweet display. Everytime I look at my Iron Man, I wish I had the set. Congrats bro.

The first pedestal is finished. I first tried to stain it and didn't like how it came out so it was off to get some paint. Excuse the first blurry picture...I had a few beers during poker night.
