I was 13 when I saw this in the theater with my dad 30 years ago. It was one of the scariest experiences of my life at the time. And it's been one of my favorite movies of all-time ever since.

Have planned on watching Alien tonight on my HD TV for quite some time now. Cannot wait to see the dvd upsampled by my bluray player. Damn, I wish we had the blurays in time for the anniversary, but at least they are coming by years end. Three things I wanted most for the 30th were the blus, the HCG 1:1, and then the not yet announced Hot Toys set of the big chap and Ripley in space suit! Bring it.

My god ALIEN 30 years. So long ago but my favorite movie of all time.

Love this flick, watched it earlier in the week with the sequel.

Also got to see it when it got re-released in the theatres.
