Star Wars collection room - UPDATE 6-1-14

I am in the process of having my basement finished. I figured I would post a few pictures of what has been finished so far.



Anyways, still a lot of work to go on it, but it is looking good so far.

No. I am actually going to place oak shelving in the larger spaces. I have a ton of vintage Star Wars stuff to display.

I am not sure yet, I may. I have two "eyeball" lights to install that will shine down onto the shelves. If this doesnt provide enough light, I may do some sort of extra lighting.

Thanks guys, it is coming along nicely. I am really excited to finish it. It is just a very slow process. We are only able to really work on it in the evenings.

Sorry I haven't posted an update for a while. It has been a crazy summer for me and the guys helping me with my basement, we got put off schedule a bit.

Anyways, here are a few pictures of the shelving unit in my main room:





I am really happy with the colors. I was going for a red color similar to the one seen in Palpatine's office in ROTS. There is going to be some oak shelving in the larger spaces. The top sections are for 1/6 SSC figures.

It should be done in a few weeks then the fun starts, FINDING A PLACE FOR EVERYTHING!!!

Thats is freakn sweet. I am very impressed and inspired. Im looking to do something similar in my office. What materials did you make the shelves from? Also what lighting are you using. Copying is the best form of flattery! Can't wait to see the finished product.
