Weathertop in da house!

This was unexpected as I had never recieved an email from FedEx... i just got home in time for the delivery and was like... oh, that's not for me. We have nothing coming. Turns out.. we did!

Very cool sculpt.... not too small if you ask me. The cave with the camp fire is a GREAT touch... and it is a cool touch that there is a staircase in the very back that must run under the entire watchgrounds and comes out at the back... something i didn't actually notice in the films!

I didn't remember that either, but I checked and there it was. When the hobbits hear the first Nazgul shriek, they run through that doorway and up the staircase. Next you see a wide shot of Weathertop with the hobbits emerging from the stairscase on the far side. Both visible on the SSW environment.

Congrats L4!! I had to give this piece the axe for now but would like to come back and grab it later on.

I'll be getting mine on Thursday (one day after my birthday) so it will be a nice little gift.

Can someone provide a closeup of the overhang, there isn't actually the remnants of the fire in there right?

Yes, you can see the little campfire site underneath the overhang. I couldn't quite get it in focus in this picture.

yeah, this little guy is really cool. The little things like the campfire and the staricase... also the grass on the hill looks great and the detail, the tile on the floor vs the rough rock ruins... very cool.. and a very cool moment from the film!

And for $100... it is a steal.

i can't believe Buckleberry Ferry and Amon Hen will be here so soon too. I am expecting BF this week.. and i forget what the exact timeline was for AH... but it was very soon also. Sad that these will be the last of the environments... but that just means i have to go out and pick up Orthanc!!!!

Heehee Weathertop looks like it's a big face, with the cave as the mouth. OH we need another of those movies where the pictures move and talk!
