Homelander is first up.

Well that puts it right on schedule for a 2025 release considering their backlog.

Don’t know much about Mafex, but assuming these will be 1/12 scale articulated plastic figures with some soft goods. Still waiting for a 1/6 producer like ThreeZero or Asmus to announce The Boys license. Hopefully not Star Ace.

I wouldn't want Hot Toys to do it, they can't even give us Morpheus or Agent Smith. I could see Threezero doing it.

I'm sure the NECA sculpt will be great, but I would still be on the Mafex coming with more heads and options. I've been pretty high on Mafex lately, really excited for this.

The Boys doesn't seem to be all that popular on here. The thread is all the way down on page 7 of the movie section and only has 5 pages.

How can you say that, Hot Toys would make everyone.

As Cosbabies

My latest gripe with HT is them adding another pic of an X-Men 1 Cyclops Cosbaby. Like I would kill for 1/6 X-Men from the first 2 films.

Stop with hot toys. They aren?t gonna touch this. You?d be lucky if they touch cyclops. Once the mcu version comes they are going to focus on that. So you?ll have to wait for that one but I?m sure he?ll most likely be black tho.

All I want is a good 1/6th Homelander. He's just like me!

But seriously, I can't be arsed to care about anyone else. The Deep is fun, I guess. But I'm really only watching the show because of Homelander.

Second season took a dive to me. They decided that they should get serious instead of trying to be fun. They also got political and went all in on it towards the end. The cult group was also very boring IMO. Deep wasn’t as fun this year.

But yeah I think a Billy and Homelander would be cool figs. And Terror.

Most people, I assume. Everyone else is so bland and boring. The Deep's antics are fun though. The Boys themselves are the most boring part, I'd say. Butcher's a 2-D **** and a moron, Hughie's bland, Frenchie's annoying, I don't care about the Female and MM... at least I'm invested in him getting back to his family. The Supes are more interesting, as are the Vought stuff.

I found the whole political angle less overbearing than something like Watch "Gay Black Whiteface Hangman who tops and who's the grandpa of the woman that god Doctor Manhattan came back to Earth for because he was too smitten by her, and also Big Blue **** Dildo and Veidt's sperm stolen by an Asian cleaning lady while the villain is a KKK Texan congressman" Men. And Stormfront was a character in the books too (although he was a man and was beaten to death by the Boys plus Love Sausage), so eh. The books themselves are pretty bad IMO too, so the show's a general improvement. More bearable than most [current day] media is what I'm saying.

Yeah Season 2 wasn't great. Turning Homelander into a lovesick puppy sucked. More lasering crowds please.
That too. I suppose it fits the narrative with him always searching for a mother figure, but I hope we're past that stage. I just want to see him be an entertaining homicidal maniac.

I don't know how a show with a dude named Homelander and red white stripes as a cape can avoid politics.

The Boys has always been political.

Ennis' politics are pretty much:

-Soldiers GUD
-Capes BAD
-Anyone in the Millitary above a soldier BAAAAAAAAAAAAD
-haha spleen go gory
-something something Ireland
-Frank Franks Franks, Frank Franking Franks
-**** WOLVERINE
-I wish I was an American G.I. raised on a farm eating apple pie

If you've read one book by him, you've read them all, more or less. And The Boys comic was honestly bad. Really bad. But it was "political" in just being corporate. It had no real views bar that. Just a lot of "MUM'S GONNA FREAK" stuff. I could be misremembering, but it never went past "Commie Superhero beats up Nazi superhero". Frenchie's "backstory" is jousting with baquettes, for God's sake. This is one of the few times where the adaptation is better than the source material, really.

It's a tongue in cheek capeshow with some politics thrown in. I don't mind it. There are much worse offenders out there in [current day].

I think Homelander will keep Stormfront around privately, and do things to her. I'm just waiting for him to snap and try to take over the world. Having said that, if he dies, I will no longer watch the show.

I think they'll Vader-ize Stormfront and go full on Wolfenstein with her. They said Homelander will be a ticking time bomb in S3, and they're bringing in Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy AKA OG WW2 Homelander. IIRC, the show's supposed to go on for 5 seasons in total. I doubt they'd kill off Homelander before the end. Black Noir's black in the show, so the whole clone thing will probably not be happening. But Butcher's Wife's Son could be brought in later after a time skip and fill that role. Maybe Homelander goes postal and goes off with CyberFront to create National Supe Socialism.
