ABOUT THE STATUES -
In Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, the first talking ape, Caesar, led the apes in a rebellion against the humans. In War of the Planet of the Apes he became the general of an ape army, battling the humans who refused to let them live in peace.

The Star Ace figures of Caesar sit on his horse, ready to go into battle with gun / spear. The horse features a removeable saddle and bridle as seen in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.

This statue of polyresin and soft vinyl is approximately 39 cm tall to the top of Caesar?s head while mounted on the horse.

It would be nice to see the statue without all of those busy backgrounds and photoshop snow...sheesh.

Do you think that the horse seems to be small?

Yes, the horse could be a little bigger.

I like the snowy version best but hard to tell what is photoshopped and what isn't. He'd look awesome with luca and Maurice if they made them too

Tempted to order the spear version, just wish I knew if they were planning a Koba as well. He's one of my favorite film characters.

I'm referring to the last 3 pictures where there is snow on his head and shoulders which isn't present in the pic your quoted

They said that actual figure does not include snow deco in the pics

I?ll wait for the release products to decide, but I?ll probably go with War version

The statue's horse is very undersized. Now I can't un-see it...Almost comical.
Look at the size of heads. Also, statue's horse just covering the crotch, while the actual horse reaches mid-chest.

I just received the gun version today from sideshow. Avoid this version like the plague. The paint is INSANELY BAD, like crazy bad. I will take a photo under photography lights later on but for now (even though the lighting is bad) i took this photo with my cellphone to show just how bad the paint is. It looks like it was painted by a kid at one of those 80s/90s kids birthday party places where you paint a ceramic. I sent the picture to sideshow and they were happy to allow me to return.

To say that its a far cry from the prototype paint job is an understatement to say the least.

I don't know what happened to this company. Early on they did well with their Great Escape Steve McQueen, and later the Christopher Lee Scars of Dracula.

But they've since earned themselves such a bad reputation that if any other company releases something really bad, I think they "Star Aced" it.

I decided to buy a $15.99 Neca Caesar on amazon to scratch the itch and its hilarious how insanely better it is than this $330.72 collectible after tax and ship.

The only star ace i have is Voldemort and its decent. But after seeing how so many of their releases turned out I was skeptical of purchasing Caesar but I never thought it would turn out this bad. It looks like it was painted by a drunk toddler.
