Finished my 1:6 Berserker Uruk Hai.
It?s the first 1:6 custom I?ve ever done and the first that uses any kind of real materials and I love it. Your move, Asmus. 😉

Process first then finished pics:
Base body is the Worldbox AT027. I was about to sell it off when I thought- ?What if I paint it red?? and that?s how this was born.
Initial layer done in a mix of red, black and blue ink. It pools up nicely and leaves very Uruk esque blotches.
After that I moved to acrylics, some brushed some airbrushed and the white hands are gauche paint to separate it texturally from the flesh.
If I hadn?t begun by painting the body I?d have sculpted loads more muscle onto it- especially the traps and lats but he gets away with being a slightly more athletic Berserker.

Base head- Suicide Squad screaming Joker resin cast off eBay- massively modified and sculpted over with Milliput

Sword- cut and shaved down from a block of wood. Hand guard is sculpted. I would?ve wrapped the handle in cloth but that would?ve meant shaving that part down to a potentially overly fragile degree in order for it still to fit in the figure?s hand so I thought better of it.

Dirty cloth parts are a cut up gym sock soaked in coffee and painted.
Leather loin cloth, gloves, straps and sandals are cut from a slab of leather I?ve had for over 10 years.

Studs on leather are just dots of chrome. They?re the only thing I couldn?t reproduce in a more accurate way.
Feet were broadened and toes enlarged with apoxie because the standard ones were way too thin.

Forearm weapon- sculpted entirely from apoxie but the blades are two diecast wolverine claws which I bent to be appropriately curved and then sculpted over to add a rougher texture and give more width.

There?s an interchangeable left gripping hand in case I want him holding the sword with both hands or a decapitated Rohirrim warrior like the Sideshow Statue.

Arrows- toothpicks with apoxie sculpted feathers.
6x Strap Buckles- all individually sculpted with apoxie with part of a flat paper clip as the centre.
