    Default The Nun (Valak) review

Regular readers know I love the one off characters in my sixth scale collection, and if they are horror characters? Even better. That's why even though the Nun wasn't a great movie, I still pre-ordered the Qmx figure on day one. She's here now, and she's nothing like Sally Field:

Nice review, Michael! I tried watching the movie, though, and got bored after 20 minutes. I might try it again some day...

    Terrible film, cool figurine.

You know, the script was bad, I thought the film was really nicely shot and had some good scenes. My sense was that whoever wrote the script might have watched one of the previous films, or had a cliff note version and came up with the plot.

...And thanks Michael for your review, really been waiting for that since I was on the fence on picking this up or not.

Yea, she's a worthy monster design - I know a lot of people creeped out by regular nuns, let along this one - but the film was not fully baked.

Well, at least she would be a very nice companion piece to this:

It has some atmosphere, but it was so boring. I much prefer the character as a ?show up a few times? style like in the Conjuring films.
