I could have sworn there was an old thread for this license announcement but I sure couldn't find one, so here we go.

I think it looks pretty cool for the most part.

I assume a blood covered one will come later on if this sells.

Man I’d really like a figure of The Bride but this just doesn’t look good at all to me. Almost looks like a knock off.

How is this $218? I considered getting the knock-off to work on, but decided not to in the hopes of an official release. This needs as much work or more than that knock-off and is over $200.

If the sculpt looks poor now, imagine how bad the production piece will be. :horror

Of all the companies to get the Kill Bill license, why did it have to be Star Ace? :gah:

At one time wasn't there a ton of these figures around?

At least there's a chance for Go-Go.

I could go for a Gogo.

But I fear that Star Ace will only go and drop the ball...

That's true. It's a shame it wasn't Blitzway.

What could have been...

I know. I can only imagine how bad their O-Ren is going to look.

Kill Bill 1 and 2 are my favourite Tarantino films, and the only ones directed by him that I go back and rewatch. So I could go for a full line of 1/6 characters, but over the years there seem to have been only dodgy third party figures of The Bride. And, surprisingly, only an Iminime O-Ren as far as I recall.

I don't know what happened to Star Ace - I have their Dracula and first Virgil Hilts - but they've become so unreliable, with production sculpts and paintwork looking worse than most third party offerings. Even the photoshop work on their promo photos leaves a lot to be desired!

I can see Uma in this sculpt, i just think the paint application will be what weakens it. SA dont do great paint.

Probably the only officially licensed figure well get. I think its a solid base figure for a repaint, but left as is i like it. My only real issue is the price, thats HT level pricing with not the same quality.

A repaint may make quite a difference. While I can't visibly see much fine detail in the sculpt, I've seen some wonders done with repaints.

The knock-off O-Rens and Bride they made a few years ago looked fantastic, but sadly go for about $1000 a pop on eBay now. Tragic that they turned out to be better than an official release like this!

I wouldn't recognise Uma from the close up shots. It's only the outfit that gives me a clue. But I see a lot more likeness in this shot:

Maybe they did a bit more photoshopping than just adding Gogo.?

But even if these photos showed a knockout prototype, I'd still be too wary to preorder knowing how drastically SA figures can change when they get to production.
