Probably not best to post this, but I just finished building my Lego Slave 1 and the stand scares me a little bit. It is very sturdy but it seems like it could slide off. I have researched and could not find - does anyone know a way to modify stand/back of slave 1 to attach the two together?

The Technic stand is actually very good. Yes it wobbles a bit from side to side, but it won't snap, break, or allow the Slave 1 to slide off. Part of this is due to the weight of the ship being supported at 4 points distributing the weight nicely onto the base.

What you can do instead is get that non-skid, non-slip material and cut it into the shape of the footprint of the base so that it can't be seen.

I've got no concern with mine, I've moved it around a few times, no worries. It does seem to wobble, but still secure. No one really touches it once its displayed.

Great Lego model, although I prefer to display mine in landing position :
