When engaging in corporate espionage, you need to have a fool proof plan. Especially when the company you are trying to steal from is genetics leader InGen. Fortunately, Dodgson, from rival company BioSyn, has planned accordingly. The result -- a self-contained transport mechanism for 15 fertilized embryos, fully cooled* and compartmentalized inside, and encased within the innocuous facade of a common can of Barbasol™ shaving cream.

The device was a stroke of genius – a very real coup in the exciting world of corporate theft. And the plan was flawless. Sadly, Dodgson’s man on the inside at InGen, the disgruntled Dennis Nedry, wasn’t so flawless --The device was lost, along with all 15 embryos.

Or so the world thought. A team of artists from Chronicle Collectibles recently managed to gain access to this genuine artifact, which was somehow found and rescued from the InGen site before the island’s destruction by volcanic eruption. All of the embryos were irretrievably lost, and the clever bit of the device that enabled it to emit actual shaving cream was damaged beyond recognition. But the structure itself remained intact.

Emboldened by this unprecedented and unique access, those artists have successfully replicated the device’s structure as an homage to the efforts of Dodgson’s ingenious plan. Thus, Chronicle Collectibles is now pleased to present to the world the Jurassic Park Cryo-Can. Quantities are limited, so reserve yours today!

Does it come with dino DNA?

For the price that I’m sure they’ll charge...it better! :lol

If that article is correct at 200, I’m in for sure, seen some go for much more than that at TheRPF, granted I’m sure there will be accuracy differences, I’m just psyched it’s an officially licensed prop coming out.

The spring in that picture has to indicate it has the pop up feature right?

Good question! I would like to know, too.

IMO, making this piece functional by providing the pop-up action would totally increase its appeal. It would totally sell itself.

I asked Paul from Chronicle Collectables over at Statue Forum if the part of the Barbasol can that holds the test tube things has the spring loaded feature when you twist it, and he confirmed that indeed it does! :)

Yea I was scrolling through their twitter replies and found a recent one answering that they best they could say is sometime this year.

I'll definitely be getting it when it comes out. I hope it comes with some kind of display stand and plaque though.

I've had the goggles paid off for ages, I hope that gets released soon.

Will eventually order from Chronicle to get the Nedry badge. Would rather just pay it off right away and get it done with.

I think sideshow’s page is incorrectly saying 15 embryos instead of 10, threw me for a loop there

I would have preferred that the embryos actually look like they did in the film. Not gross and discolored like that. It's like they took what the actual prop looked like now after nearly 3 decades of sitting around, and duplicated the color. Unless they are showing us the actual prop and the embryos and can is still being manufactured? Just would be odd they wouldn't have a physical prototype..

Maybe someone should ask them about that.

Edit -> After thinking about it, they will probably ship it without liquid and we'll have to provide our own.
