Hey it's (loosely) based on a true story, the person was really nearly killed after being attacked. They used to post here in the Military/GI Joe threads.

I really liked the documentary. It did take a "weird" twist that was unexpected.

Yeah, the documentary was Marwencol.

It bombed and didn't get much of a release worldwide. Another strike for Zemeckis unfortunately.

His mid 80s to late 90s career stands in super stark contrast to his last 15 years where he doesn't seem to have done much right.

The documentary is one of the best I've ever seen but this fictionalized movie really didn't work for me at all. It was fascinating seeing the 1/6 world they made though.

I still want to see this but I’ll have to check out the documentary Tailbane was talking about too. Sounds good. I love documentaries too.
