ex comes with both, the idea they had was keep it normal on the shelf, and bring it down on your d&d table extended when u have some friends over for d&d to impress

Yeah the ex is awesome, but at the price and the wingspan I can't do it. Tempted on the reg cause it's a badass dragon even though I have no d&d interest.
