The body is actually about 24 inches with another six in the form of the antennas. Pretty darn impressive. Though the 3D layers are noticeable, I think it adds to the appearance of steel plating. It's needs some big time clean up and a lighter color blue grey. The details get lost in the gun metal color here. Put it up next to the Halcyon Nostromo model to show scale. The original Halcyon Sulaco was a 1/2400 scale, about 12 inches in total. Too small for an incredible design like this.

For something like this, peeps should use higher resolution.
Awesome model though.

Love this. I have zero experience with 3D printed models - how does one go about cleaning it up etc? Does one go about sanding it as if it were a regular plastic model? Also, the seller uses PLA which apparently is biodegradable.

Yeah I asked him about all of that. Just treat it like a typical plastic model. Use any paint, putty and sand it. Just don’t keep it near a heat source or in the sun. Watch a number of YouTube videos, they all say the same. An ex-acto knife and sand paper should do the job. Though this monstrosity has a lot of minute sections that will be difficult.
Just be prepared for less than stellar injection model smoothness. It is 3D printed. And but for the antenna array, he assembles it. Didn’t know that, would have preferred to have done it myself.

This thing is incredibly light, even with the stand.

I like these, their Event Horizon is cool also. But the details could be better tbh. Good sign if things to come though...

It depends on the printer type and plastic being used. The smaller scale Sulaco doesn’t have all the support residue left behind on the model. Resin printers produce beautiful results. It just all depends.
