Definitely don't think Dunkirk should be listed. Hoping Get Out wins all of the awards. And Gary Oldman.

Best visual effects for GotG2? I didn't hate the film or anything, but I can't remember a single piece of CGI in that flick that I'd call "Oscar worthy".

I liked the part on Ego's planet when he shows Peter & the gang the dioramas of his life.

And that's about it.

Jesus the whole thing will be tainted with sexual harassment jokes and women screaming for equality any chance they get.

The fact that Get Out is anywhere in there makes this whole thing a wash for me. Frigging joke.

Get Out was one of the best movies of 2017.

Meryl Streep got another nomination. Is it in her contract that she must be nominated if she's in a film?

I think it's in her contract to get nominated every year that she lectures the country on issues of morality while sucking up to sex predators.

Yeah, I haven't seen that many films this year, but considering that there are only 5 nominations, you're telling me that there isn't another actress that could be nominated instead? Someone new, maybe that actress from the Witch or the actresses from Get Out? Jessica Chastain for Molly's Game maybe?

Day Lewis is probably the same - pre-nominated - although he does far less films and therefore you kinda want him to be nominated.
