Jakks 19” JL Tactical Suit Batman

Decided to do a repaint and custom cape on this figure. Used Cosplay Chris’ video as the inspiration for this.

-Removed stock cape
-Washed with Kiwi black shoe polish
-Flat black acrylic paint over all silver strap loops and belt
-Painted over the strap loops and belt with metallic bronze
-Silver chrome paint on goggles
-Brown shoe polish cream (a few coats) on the face to darken skin a little
-Sprayed on the facial stubble
-Multiple coats of dullcoate
-Custom pleather cape

Nailed it. If only HT could make theirs look this good. The faceplates and eyes look fugly on theirs.

Thanks! I still need to trim a bit off of the bottom of the cape, and weather it, but I am very happy the way it turned out. It makes for a nice display piece.

I totally agree. I'm disappointed in the Hot Toys face-plates and eyes. They basically re-used the face-plates from the BvS version, but it looks awkward because the JL cowl is shaped quite differently, and Afflecks cheeks seemed to protrude a bit more in the JL cowl, but with the re-used face-plates his face just looks narrow in that cowl. HT missed the mark there.

I do think Mezco nailed the likeness with their one:12 Tac suit Batman.

Holy **** Batman, you nailed it. A lot of these cheaper figures have amazing sculpts. I’ve seen some crazy IM Hulk Busters that once repainted can stand toe to toe with a HT Figure and you would never notice that you didn’t lose a house payment to own it.
