That Jacket will be mine!

Not axactly an accurate B-3 jacket, but it will be good enough to replace my HT Salvation John Connor jacket.

That sculpt looks almost exactly the same as the VTS Wasteland Ranger sculpt.

It probably is. They're using a DAM body, and DAM is part of VTS.
Oh...they still havent corrected the eyes then because the eyes on the Wasteland sculpt is also cross-eyed. I wish it wasnt

I just had a look at both of mine, shone a light in his face and they don't look cross-eyed.

The paintwork looks a lot better than on the Alert Line, and he doesn't have that very distracting pink lipstick.

The hair has also been resculpted to make it flatter.

After I saw this picture, I always thought the sculpt was a bit cross-eyed. I just noticed it was you who posted the pic in 2016. I snapshot this pic because I thought it was cross-eyed.Screenshot_2016-11-04-20-23-59.jpg

That was the one Kit opened.

I don't think that's cross-eyed, but I did notice it in the Alert Line photos, with his left eye placed closer to his nose:

I'm undecided on this figure.

The uniform is good and looks accurate with the stitching. But I don't think they've replicated an Irvin jacket of the time, and the life jacket is too bright.

And the film was a bit strange as well (!) The music and direction reminded me of a horror film, and it seemed small scale.

I watched the 1969 Battle of Britain afterwards and the scale was so much more pleasing.
In the pic I just posted, I think the reflection of the light on the eyes of the sculpt confused me and made me think the eyes were cross-eyed. Sorry my mistake.

I havent watched the movie yet so...but I think I've heard it had mixed reviews or something. Yeah the quality of the clothing looks pretty good.

I tried to get my dad to watch it but he refused. He said he didn't want to be reminded of Dunkirk!

As a boy he watched the little boats leaving from Netley. His dad was a captain in the LDV/Home Guard and used to take him with him on his inspections of the coastal gun emplacements.
Interesting..it mustve been tough experiencing what he did during that time

It certainly is, and odd to think that he lived through that time and how close that makes this history seem.

Air raid shelters; collecting piles of shrapnel from the anti-aicraft guns to see who could gather the most before it was collected for the war effort; paying to put a stamp on a bomb to raise war funds - on a bomb that when dropped may well have killed children - still horrifies him to this day that he did that; or the time on a school trip when they were walking crocodile fashion down the road, and a German fighter plane suddenly comes in low, and the teacher rushes to get all the children into the ditch for safety. Though luckily the aircraft didn't open fire, but just flew on.

He has so many vivid memories, though not all bad. He remembers the community spirit. And things like the Italian prisoners sent to work on his uncle's farm, who were just happy to be out of the war. No one guarding them because they had no desire to escape.
Wow those events he experienced would definitely stay with anyone. So grateful right now

Finally picked this one up using one of the Ebay discount codes.

Excellent figure, all around. I was pleasantly surprised with the head sculpt, which I thought would not be as nicely painted as it is.

Box and presentation were impressive as well, with the wrap around box flap held by a magnet and the foam inserts to hold all of accessories. No plastic trays here. This is my first figure from Alert Line and I won't hesitate to order any figures from them that I hold an interest on.

I had previously picked up an extra uniform loose from TA and will be setting up a second figure with the extras included. I highly recommend this figure if you are an aviation or military history buff (as I am...) :wink1:
