Even if they make it, it will be years before it ships.

Well yeah, but that's true of much of this stuff. Red Ant made a long post about this also, at least they are attempting to improve shipping times. I like this concept, I'm not sure I'll buy it, but I like it...

It's funny because i think the base on this Dredd looks too big and elaberate to me especially at 1/3 scale it looks like it will be huge, but i find the base on the 1/4 scale Dredd they already put out to be to small and plain.

Looks like we might see this sooner rather than later....

Judge Dredd first appeared in the pages of British comics magazine 2000AD in 1977 and has appeared in nearly every issue since!

The Judges act as Judge, Jury and Executioner, doling out harsh sentences right on the street, and no one does it better than Dredd.

Now, PCS is proud to pay tribute to Mega City One’s most recognizable lawman with the biggest Judge Dredd statue we’ve ever produced. Standing almost 28 inches tall, this 1/3 scale collectible was sculpted using a mix of digital and traditional sculpting techniques to bring Dredd to life as only PCS Collectibles can.

I love this so much :yess: They even have discounts for pre-ordering so it's cheaper than Magneto MAQ

For some reason, the EX makes me laugh :lol :lol :lol

What are your favorite Dredd comics/stories? I loved Cursed Earth, the Dark Judges, and America.

The original base was far superior and looked great combined with Dredd,it's a shame they changed it to this, now it just kinda reminds me of the base they used for Heman Battlecat with minor changes.I am tired of seeing companies show a killer WIP and they give us the inferior version come production so I will no longer be in for this

I would venture a guess that it may have had something to do with production cost. More detailed base might've raised the MSRP and maybe they didn't want it to be that high. It did look a lot more detailed and cooler. Another guess would be they wanted to go Cursed Earth with their EX.

About that, Jerry Macaluso over at the other forum:

The costs for the original base were ridiculous. It also was so large it would have required new larger boxes.

The decision was made it just wasnt going to work.

But it was a cool design.

I want to give credit to Conceptopolis as Aaron and his team did the original designs.
