Need to check in a large item onto a plane but can't seem to find luggage that fits it, 30" L x 30" wide at the least, I was wondering if there was anything that size that exists? Does luggage usually get stolen by airport staff/crew?

I'd go to Macy's or wherever sells luggage. Bring a tape measure and measure up a few. I wouldn't worry about theft. With how tight airports have gotten since 9/11, I don't think you'll have issues.
