Hi everyone,

I'm about get get 5 Ikea black-brown detolfs and 2 risers. For the LED cabinet lighting kit, I'm debating between pure white lights or warm white lights. Would love your opinions on which tone of lights you like. The room is about the size of a bedroom and is dark except for when the TV is on, if that matters. It's basically a home theater room.

Detolfs (x5): https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/10119206/?query=DETOLF
Risers (x2): https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S19047427/#/S09047376
Lights (pure white option): https://www.ebay.com/itm/USB-LED-Li...298411?hash=item212aa3cbeb:g:rnIAAOSwImRYgbpJ

Thanks! :)

I use the Ikea 501.923.65 Dioder in my Detolfs, they're multicolored and looked great. I got these because the dial controller lets you fine tune the color. Unfortunately, they are apparently unavailable right now, at least on Amazon.

I've used two different types, ikea dioders and bright white white led strip with remotes from amazon.

The first four detolfs I setup I used dioders. I no longer use them. The lights are not very bright , and there are a ton of wires to hide. And they are expensive

Here is what I use now , and I bought some mirror film to put on the back glass to help bounce some of the light around.

Here is a quick pic with the lights at max brightness

Thanks! Looks nice! I want to do something similar. Imagine a TV on the adjacent wall where the display would be on your left as you watch movies. Would you say the white lights from your display distract TV viewing at all? They look really good in your picture, but was wondering...

Thanks again.

I play xbox with them on, if I was watching a movie I'd prob turn them off. In this picture you can see the older cabinets with dioders on the right
