The Dawn of the Dead opening scene just scared the you know what out of me when the zombie bites the riot officer and tears his flesh away in living color ....I was repulsed, horrified, scarred and hooked from that point on... RIP Mr. Romero.

The master is gone but he truly lived a life of bringing us what zombies are and was a master at it. Rest in peace...

By the way, he made a really cool movie not about zombies called Knightriders, with Ed Harris and Tim Savini. My favorite non dead or Creepshow Romero film. Worth checking out if you haven't seen it
