Hey, everyone. :wave

First, an introduction to those who don't know me. My name's Terry. I'm a long-time board member and former Sideshow photographer. Some of you may know me as the white-haired dude in Sideshow's sixth scale figure posing tutorial series, "How To Be A Poser." I'm also the weirdo behind the developing series of review/posing/gallery videos, "Toys Will Be Toys."

I've recently started posting photos from my home studio in various threads on this board. A couple of you have suggested that I go ahead and start a thread here dedicated to those photos. So, you know. Here it is.

Please note that, apart from some minor levels adjustments and the odd lightsaber or two, I don't use Photoshop to enhance any of my photos. I don't feel that the figures require it.

Feel free to browse away at your leisure. Leave comments, ask questions. If you're looking for regular updates, feel free to follow the Toys Will Be Toys Facebook page.

I also post pretty frequently to my Instagram account, @terry35mm.

And I've posted a few reviews, unboxings, and photo galleries on my YouTube channel.

Thanks for dropping by.

Your work is absolutely beautiful Terry, both in posing and in photography. I particularly love the Court of the Dead image. Outstanding as always.

Agreed! Also, what kind of gear are you using? Do you mostly shoot with primes?

That's a tough one to answer, because it's mostly all over the place. The photos I've shown here were shot with both Nikon and Canon gear, some of them with strobes at Sideshow's studios, others with a cheap mish-mash of led and fluorescents In my garage. Some of my earlier shots were even taken with a cheap little Nikon Coolpix camera.

These days I always shoot with primes, but those scenic shots with elaborate set pieces were usually shot with a Canon wide-angle zoom lens set at between 24-35mm.

Thanks!

Here's a bit of a behind-the-scenes shot of the setup for one of my Speederbike shots. This was at my old studio at Sideshow.
