Have no fear - I didn't forget about my Captain Toy Picks today, it's just been a very hectic week. Tonight I'm checking out my choices for the Top Ten Original Action Figure Lines. These are lines with no ties to any outside licensing, but are original ideas from the company. My list is here (and Sideshow gets a spot!) - what's yours?

When it comes to original lines McFarlane Toys was the gold standard...His various "Monsters" lines...especially the "6 faces of madness" line...Twisted Land of Oz...Dragons (as mentioned). Lots of originality to be sure!

Stikfas!!!! One of my favorite lines ever. I have tons of them from before they were bought by hasbro to the first few hasbro waves. I wish they were still going, even if they were just the basic Alpha Male figure. You can never have enough Stikfas!

I would have to go back a little further for one of my favorite lines of the 80's. I loved Kenner's Megabug Gladiators.
There was something cool about these battling mechanical bugs with little pilots and action features. Granted-these aren't action figures but they sure were original. I loved them!
