His recent collaboration with Paul Thomas Anderson will be his last film.

Arguably the greatest actor of the last thirty years. Its a shame to see him go but its not surprising at all with today's PC/Corporate-driven Hollywood.

Too bad he didn't go out with a respectable, legendary bang.

He's already done this. Decided to go make shoes in Italy for years.

I doubt it he just really doesn't give a hoot about acting. He finds it boring.

Oh really? When has he said that? (genuinely curious, not the biggest DDL fan)

It just strikes me as odd that his rep team will not "comment any further on the matter."

I found Lincoln boring. Hope he's good at shoes.

Must be a slow day in entertainment news. Can't say I'll miss his work.

I guess he never "sold out" by making a Marvel/Star Wars/ DC/CGI movie.

As did I actually. There Will be Blood too for that matter. Still, I tend to agree that his acting is/was pretty damn good. Oh well.

I fell asleep on both

TWBB took me years and years to appreciate. But give it another watch and it might click for you like it did me. Now i find it incredible

Lincoln sucked all around, but DDL was awesome in it.

DDL has been in more mediocre films than good, but he's arguably the greatest actor of all time if you ask me.

Goodbye overrated!
