Great work! You nailed one of my favorite characters in the whole Star Wars universe! I like the expression on the face, as if in deep thought. One small detail though, maybe the eyes could use a slightly more vibrant shade of red? The eyes of Thrawn are supposed to be almost glowing red, and those are a bit too dark or maybe it's just the lighting of the photos.

Thank you! The pics are slightly darker than real life, here's a bit of a more candid shot to show the eye color. Been messing with manual mode on my dslr and I need to make the shots brighter lol

I do agree though, my eyes are ever so slightly too dark. Here's a comparison to mine and the sideshow release. I went for a more legends color for Thrawn over the more pastel look of rebels.

Also Here's a comparison of rebels Thrawn with the unpainted sculpt I used

Edit, here's one of the above shots edited to
Increase brightness closer to real life

He looks so much better than the SS version. When SS dipped into the GI Joe line their sculpts turned too cartoonish for me and this seemed to trickle into their SW line, Thrawn suffered from this. He is a great character and hope to add a more realistic version of him to my collection. Lucky you, great job!

Thanks stickman! Much appreciated! I totally agree. The price combined with the cartoonish sculpt made me want to try my hand at one. That and the Disney krennic's going on clearance. Will have to pickup a few more for other officers

Here's a quick shot of my top shelf in the cabinet

Working on an Eli Vanto and Col. Yularen. Made some molds and casts of the Krennic rank badge and also casting the marmit belt buckle to make them look a bit nicer. Also got a sideshow chancellor Palpatine 2 pack and have added the Kenner robes.

Also found out 1/6 chemlights repainted silver make decent code cylinders.

Finished out my imperial officers last night minus some slight repainting of Yularen. Made some buckle casts from the marmit tie pilot and rank bar casts from The Disney Krennic

Also, thanks!!

Nice! The Krennic Elite series figure stands 10" tall. Is that the one you used? How was it fitting it onto a generic 1/6 scale body?

The Krennic actually stands almost 12" tall. He's almost exactly as tall as the old sideshow officers. The generic body fits the clothes great. Only needed to sand down the biceps a bit as the Krennic biceps were not as large. The only reason I didn't use the Krennic body is that the wrists are slightly too long as the wrist is covered by the glove sleeve.

Cool, thanks for the insight. I've been itching to build a Thrawn of my own!
