Hi, Im a relatively new collector. I have been lurking on these forums for a month or two researching display cabinets and as a result, just bought a Detolf.
I want to "stabilise" my figures which are mostly 3a (Dredd) and Bandai (Star Wars Movie Realisation).

I have tried to research the Museum Wax and similar products. There seem to be three:
- gel: for glass on glass
- putty: for porous materials (wood, stone)
- wax: for non porous (unsure the benefits of gel over wax)

My question - is the wax best to use for plastic figures on glass? HAs anyone had any experience with it damaging or marking the plastic or glass?

Cheers

I used the blu tack stuff you can find at Staples or any office supply store.

I'll tell you my experience with museum putty: If left on for a prolonged period (months)the consistency changes and when you attempt to remove it, it has become stringy like hot bubble gum. And trying to remove is a real PITA! Especially if it is on a textured surface of some type.
