Yes . Was looking forward to this being up for preorder by now . I guess next week .

What's up with 303toys keep doing ver. 2.0 of their previous figures?
I get them competing with other companies doing three kingdom figures, and the horse is obviously better than their previous effort.
but wouldn't it be better to make other character figures from three kingdom universe?

Hot toys renewed robocop after 10 years - which I totally understand
but new version after 2 years seems too short...

If I knew they would do v2.0 who would buy their figures? Maybe they will do v3.0 in 2019!

Technically, Zhao Yun is only their 2nd 2.0 figure. Besides making the new armor consistent with other Shu generals, I don't think this Zhao Yun 2.0 is better than 1.0 version. It's just a different style of armor. Three kingdoms figures must selling like hot pots in China and Asia for them to issue 2.0 this quickly.

Well, there was 303 toys Guan Yu 2.0 to compete with 'Inflames Toys' version
I agree the v1.0 armor is still better design. Maybe they upgraded face painting and horse.
But the horse is still not much better than the competitor's (namely O-Soul)

V1. Guan Yu looked good but the body was crap. Joints were weak and the Dragon Blade was so heavy that the figure can't hold it in any pose.

I'm finally getting around to setting up my Guan yu 2.0 . Early impressions are very good . Don't know if he trumps Zhang fei but it's close . I'm not familiar with the original 1995 to series at all . I've looked it up on YouTube and tried to get a feel for the characters.

I feel so distant from ancient Chinese culture . It's like another world . It's also extremely interesting and I want to learn more . I'm an American Irish / Italian from New York but I'm fascinated with these ancient periods of history . Watching these old Chinese shows is like sending me to a different planet .

@sixxshooter - I like the 1995 version more than the 2010 version. But the best is to read the book. I read the book like 5 times, that's how good it was to me. If you want, go to threekingdoms.com and you can read the whole thing. It's even a bit more simplified for an easier reading/understanding too.

The best body replacement for Guan Yu 1.0 is to use Hot Toys Finn body. It's tall, and all the joints are tight. You'll have a lot of fun posing Guan Yu then.

Oh, man, you should've PMed me. I would've sold it to you probably even cheaper. I just wanted to cut some of the loss on V.2 with the sale and wasn't looking to make a fortune off my V.1 lol.
