Based on the appearance of Mark V in Iron Man 2, the new and highly detailed "Suitcase Armor" is given a major overhaul with a more precise proportion and parts made of diecast material. Standing over 32cm tall, it features enhanced articulations especially in the arms, legs and waist for higher poseability, movable armor flaps to simulate the suiting up process, LED-lighted eyes, chest arc reactor and palm repulsors, interchangeable battle damaged chest armor, left arm and hands, and a sophisticatedly painted Mark V suitcase.

This diecast collectible figure will additionally include a highly-accurate Tony Stark head sculpt based on the image of Robert Downey Jr. in Iron Man 2, a Whiplash arc reactor, and a specially designed figure stand inspired by the racing tracks scenario in the movie.!

Spotted the breaking "announcement" of it on Facebook before. You'd have to bet on diecast (upgrade) remakes of all the original 7 now. That's III, V and VI down. II is just a matter of time considering III has been done... It'll be a show exclusive or something no doubt..

1/6 scale
Vs
1/6 scale

Wait? Which one is 1/6 scale??

Yup, I said the only way I'd buy another IM figure would be when they drop this one and the mk2 in die cast, well here I am, when is the PO? This is beautiful

There was a time I would jump on a preorder for a die cast Mark V, but that was 2 years ago. I PO'ed dc Mark VI and got XLV in the intervening years...I would like to wish my fellow collectors good luck!

Heck, XLV was MMS 300! HT has been busy!

I was thinking the same thing as well. I'm sure there's people that will get this, but I think for many people, this film is long passed now for people to get excited about a die cast figure from it.

Not with figures like the likes of the Mk 42, 43, 45 and 46 out there.

I just put together Tony Stark in the racing suit from this scene so this will go perfectly with it. Never was a big fan original MK V due to the lack of a chrome finish but this one looks perfect. Probably be spring 2018 before it ships but i'll be happy to have it.

First day PO - not picking up the original when I had the chance back in the day has always been a regret.

Mix of (I know it's unpopular but) love for the film and the fact that it's a frikkin suitcase armour.

If there was ever a Mark from the first couple of movies that I felt would look best in die-cast it was this one. I'm not sure if I should be surprised that it is slightly bigger than the original MMS. I like it but with so much stuff coming from so many different license it'll probably get passed up. It looks great though.

Actually kinda disappointed in how soft and weak the battle damage sculpt is. Thought they would step up from the first version. Everything else is a nice upgrade though. Won't be long before a Mark VII Diecast is announced.

I actually regretted picking up the original version because it had possibly the worst articulation/toy design of all the IM armors at the time. I sold that one off quickly. This new diecast one is definitely improved, and I would consider getting it.

This looks superb, really funny how it makes comparison to the original look like the old SS vs medi comparisons :lol
