Anyone know anything about how to make lightsabers LED powered independent from the figure's arm, either battery or with wire?

I'd like to have light up sabers, but I'm paranoid about using the LED arms because they're just a pain and I don't want the batteries to leak or anything.
If anyone has a custom or another away to light the sabers up, I'd love to know. At the moment the only LED saber I have is for Kylo.
Would need one for him, the Skywalker (graflex) saber, and maybe others.
