Statue Original Weta Gandalf the Grey statue confusion

So I recently bought the original Weta Gandalf the Grey statue from eBay and it arrived today, I'm just a little confused about it, the statue has a flat base and the black base doesn't have a peg, so the statue just sits on top of the base. This is the only statue from Weta which is like that, stranger is that the styrofoam packaging has a hollow where the base is as if it was meant to have a peg on it. Obviously this statue is rather old so I'm hoping people that already had the statue will be able to clarify if it is meant to be like this? Thanks

I'm pretty sure mine has a peg in it, but I'm at work so I can't check right now.

Mine is identical to yours. As it was one of the very first in the line - it just sits there without any peg to connect it.

hmm, that all looks OK. Guess it's possible some earlier ones got made without peg, etc.

Maybe the ones Spirit Warden I have without any peg is worth millions because it is rare?
