For free it ends today. After today it's $100 to pay for. Wtf
I have Windows 7 I've tried to upgrade it and I almost lost it all MANY MONTHS AGO.
So if I don't upgrade I can obviously still use Win 7 right?

Someone is saying out there you have to use Windows 10 to still have the internet, etc. WHICH IS REALLY EFFING STUPID.
I take it with a grain of salt but this is only the first I'm hearing of any of this end of the freaking update stuff.
So can someone please clarify this for me?
I DON'T HAVE ****ING TIME TO BACK UP MY ****ING LAPTOP FOR AN EFFING UPDATE.
If someone could inform me on this I'd really appreciate that.

I'm sticking with 7. I didn't hear anything about not having internet access.

Yeah. I'm trying to find out more about what is even being said out there. Also something about how the older versions won't work as 10 is required?

They are allowing you to try 10 for 30 days and switch back if you don't like it. Why would they let you switch back if it wasn't going to work?

Good point. I've heard reverting back to 7 would have glitches though and you might have to reinstall drivers (not from the looney bin I researched online). It wouldn't make sense.

Just read an article on CNET about how you can get windows 10 for free even after tonight. It states to install 10 now and then revert back to 7 or 8.1. As long as you installed 10 once, you have a digital entitlement to install at any time in the future. If older versions weren't going to work, they wouldn't be telling you to go back to your old system. I think you can relax. I feel a little better myself.

That was in the same article I just read. I think we're good. Man, you've been all over the board today. How many posts have you made today already?

Ok that makes me feel better too :)

I'm way more relieved now. I know! So many I've lost count :p

you dont have to back up anything
all your files will still be there.

it gives you the option to leave everything files the same.

Windows 10 will make your computer faster and easier to use, it will fix a lot of bugs that win 7 and 8 had. it is safer, much safer. you wont get nasty stuff with Win 10. they beefed up their security like crazy

I personally think it's a hot mess myself. :lol

You will still have it. Windows 7 just will no longer get any updates and eventually, will be pretty much unless.

I don't care for Windows 10. It's got too much useless crap on it and it makes everything just one big pain in the ass to work with.

I got Windows 10 few weeks ago and thought it was cumbersome and quite annoying- there's so much unnecessary security that I was even locked out of my own folders.

Hell, I can't even find half my **** now. And have to relearn how to use all the installed programs.

What's weird is that Mr. Green deleted all the porn pics, some time back, and it magically appeared soon after Window 10 installed. :horror

"You don't have permission to access this folder"

"You don't have permission to extract the files"

I am you master, computer! Obey me!!!

Hmmmm, very interesting. My windows 7 is running faster and smoother this morning than it has in awhile. Not that I had huge problems with it before. Aol would take some time to load as my home site. When on ebay, the screen would hiccup and go black for a second now and then. I have not had those issues so far this morning. Could it be these little annoyances were popping up to get me to upgrade to 10? Will have to see how things go.

Windows 10 is hot and cold. At face value it looks great but has loads of tiny flaws that drive you crazy. I upgraded my work computer to Windows 10 this week and I have to reset my default printer everyday as it keeps changing it back randomly. I had a hard time syncing accounts on my personal laptop. I had to reboot it and reinstall everything. Pain in the arse!

Just had a blue screen of death with ":(" and a critical_structure_error something message. Also game interface disappear and all Mr. Green get is an empty box, a day ago. People are fooling themselves if they think this window is better. This is nothing more than a marketing ploy to make more money. Typical of microsoft to toss out half-ass product and fixing it on the fly.
