Sign at Threepio's feet says HT.

I'm trusting the source on R2.... doesn't look like Sideshow's R2. Check dome and blue.

Wouldn't make sense for HT to show a Sideshow figure with their stuff anyway.

That is neither the SSC nor the Tamashii 3PO. New HT 3PO.

At a moment of uncharacteristic weakness I bought the R2 last friday for $50 off. Looking back, that was stupid.

3PO comes with a gold arm, so will these be more generic droids, like for any of the films? How different are 3PO and R2 in TFA compared to the OT. I remember reading the 3PO suit was taken from the original molds, but I'm not certain.

It's really not - I got a great deal on mine and it's a very nice figure. Yeah, the doors are a bit of a pain when handling, but other than the 5-10% underscale thing, it's a terrific figure on the shelf. I'll be keeping my SSC R2 despite getting the HT one - I need a few R2's.

And the HT R2 won't be in-hand until probably March of next year.

HT R2 will be superior to Sideshow in every way possible.

Why do collectors keep thinkingg "I'm covered on that" when something better always comes? Silly people.

I love my SSC R2, I'll get this one but I did cancel out the other SSC R2 Imperial an R5 Imperial just in case HT follows suit on those.
