Holy ****! I can't wait to see how deep they go here!

Re: Star Ace Toys: Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown & Kill Bill

Star Ace is really rolling. Yes it's a lot of licenses but I guess they have a plan that isn't going to be one and dones. So cool to see these coming. I hope the sculpts are absolutely spot on. I have RM's Jules & Vince and Iminime's Bride and O-Ren, so look forward to these and Jackie Brown.
Pulp Fiction -- Jules, Vincent, Marsellus, Mia, Butch
Kill Bill -- Bride, O-Ren, Vernita, Go-Go, Elle, Bill
Jackie Brown -- Ordell, Jackie (maybe they will announce a Foxy Brown)

Re: Star Ace Toys: Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown & Kill Bill

I wonder if they'll finally get DeNiro to sign off on a figure.

Re: Star Ace Toys: Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown & Kill Bill

Didn't they have Pan at their last show as one of their licences? That movie bombed so I doubt they'd ever make a figure from the film.

They must have picked these licences up for cheap.

I also think there's too many licences too soon and they want to be careful that they don't turn into ThreeZero.

Re: Star Ace Toys: Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown & Kill Bill

I wonder if they'd make a Ray Nicolette? I'd be curious to see if they could do a better job than HT did with Keaton (which, to be completely honest: not a very high bar, there.:lol). They're really making some smart plays, though. DCTV, Tarantino; a lot of built in fan bases that have been clamoring for these figures for a long time.

Re: Star Ace Toys: Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown & Kill Bill

Threezero are a disaster. I really wish they'd relinquish the GOT and Walking Dead rights because it's a complete waste and the products they churn out could be handled so much better.

Re: Star Ace Toys: Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown & Kill Bill

Definitely hope they go all the way with Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill. Sold my O-Ren to actually help fund CK Jules and Vince lol; be nice to have her back. Please don't put all this awesomeness on indefinite hold, Star Ace!

Re: Star Ace Toys: Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown & Kill Bill

They take so much license and deliver so little. I don't think we can see any of those until next year if lucky enough

Re: Star Ace Toys: Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown & Kill Bill

Just hoping for an O-Ren or Go-Go to go with my Playtoy bride.

Re: Star Ace Toys: Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown & Kill Bill

I've always wanted Kill Bill figures, but there was never a Bride good enough. Unless there was an expensive unlicensed version released.

Would probably just get the girls.

But the sheer amount of licenses Star Ace are promoting is cause for concern. The company was unheard of a few years ago when I got their first Steve McQueen. They've gone from zero to hero overnight.

They have been kicking around. They were known as x-plus previously I believe. They have delivered decently with the Potter lines. Some of those figures are really good. They are still getting their bearings, but they are doing great.

Re: Star Ace Toys: Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown & Kill Bill

Shame we'll never get licensed Django figures too, but the prospect of figures of Jules and Ordell is amazing!

Re: Star Ace Toys: Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown & Kill Bill

Nobody else wants max cherry? I would also buy jules and Vincent if they look good. I assume those two will be the first figures from this announcement.

I'm tending to agree with that. The GoT have been so-so at best, and production has been at a slow trickle. I haven't bought any of TWD because the sculpts have not been top notch and I don't have faith in the line. I do have TNMT coming and reports are they are fantastic.

However not sure if Star Ace is where they should go, given the multitude of licenses that company is now juggling.

I wonder if they'll finally get DeNiro to sign off on a figure.
Not that DeNiro wasn't perfectly fine as Louis in Jackie Brown ... "What happened to you? You used to be beautiful", but there are probably 10 DeNiro roles I'd rather have a high quality figure from ... Goodfellas (by a country mile), The Godfather, Casino, Cape Fear, The Untouchables, Raging Bull, The Deer Hunter just off the top of my head.

I would. Robert Forster is the Man. I love how he says 'In cash' and 'I gave you my card in there.'

Re: Star Ace Toys: Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown & Kill Bill

I believe X-Plus is Star Ace's parent company and X-Plus has been making Godzilla figures and statues since the '90s. They know their way around a toy line, but Star Ace is their first foray into 1/6 scale. It appears to be working out well. I'd say they're averaging about 6 or 7 figures per year--albeit including alternative versions of the same characters.

I don't think they're overloading themselves on the licenses yet, mainly because I don't think they'll be going as deep into many of these licenses as they are with Harry Potter, which is not to say that I wouldn't like them to. Getting the whole Deadly Vipers crew would be cool, but I don't see it happening (please prove me wrong Star Ace).

Even if they do have a lot of licenses, they can maintain a good reputation (better than Threezero anyway) simply by not ignoring any particular license for too long.

Re: Star Ace Toys: Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown & Kill Bill

This is cool news. I'd probably only get a figure or two from Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown(basically all the Sam Jackson ones. Maybe Travolta from Pulp. Maybe Grier herself as Jackie if the figure looks great). But Kill Bill? *****. I ******* with Kill Bill:yess: I'd get all the deadly vipers, the bride, Bill, an good looking Go Go and Oren Ishi are grails for me as every version of them I've ever seen looked generic and terrible but I'd love to get them with some good looking figures.
