Soldier Story - 1/6 Ghostbusters Collectible Figures (1984 & 2016)

Peter (Bill Murray), Egon (Harold Ramis), Jillian (Kate McKinnon) & Kevin (Chris Hemsworth) figures shown so far.

Sculpts look great but who are Soldier Story and what's their track record like? So much for that Blitzway/Chronicle rumour!

They are well-known for their 1/6 military offerings. They are considered as one of the best in their field.

The headsculpts look great.

Oh hell yes. I'm totally going to be in for the classic characters. No interest whatsoever in the new ones though. Peter and Egon both look great. As cool as Egon in normal attire looks I'm only interested in getting the versions in their full gear.

Couldn't give less of a **** about the '""Jillian" and """Kevin""" figures, but the '84 guys look really good there.

Soldier Story is very good quality. Comparable to HT. I would say they are even better in terms of weapons and accessories.
Very good body, tailoring is as good if not sometimes better has Hot Toys.

Okay, if this is real and we get all four of the 84 Busters, my brain would explode. This sounds way too good to be true!

That Ramis headsculpt looks spot on. Can't tell with Murrays in that pic, but I'm definitely interested in the original crew.

Does the proton pack & wand light up?

The Mattel proton packs were pretty good. Venkman looks atad too serious.

About ****ING time!!!! No interest whatsoever in the new movie figures, but that Egon and Venkman sculpt look pretty good. Venkman's pants need to be fixed. But this is outstanding news. If they put together a decent set of the boys in their uniforms from the 1st movie, I'll move my sculpts I have on my customs to my GB2 figures I've been working on.

It would appear it does. I'm not a fan of the wire that connects the wand to the pack. Good thing the matty ones were that good that they can be used if needed.

Other thing I like about SS getting this is the price point. Alot of their figures come in around $150. Hope these are in this ballpark.

Soldier Story used to be the go-to for folks who wanted bodies with sculpted necks, but since they're primarily military I haven't followed them. Exciting news! Will have to pick up the classic figures, even though the Venkman proto needs some work (body way too chunky, and the pants need to be untucked for him). Suggests they plan on going pretty deep into the line if we're seeing GB2 court room Egon right out the gate.

This is great news, as Soldier Story is comparable, if not better at some things, than Hot Toys.

Classic GB for me. Could not care less for the new film.

And by the way, I can see some custom "Dana Barretts" being made out of Hot Toy's new Ripley figure. (That is if Soldier Story doesn't release her.)

Love the bases, too.

This is going to make a lot of people very, very happy.
