Do you think some english toy stores online will have this up soon ? I remember this show as a kid too and these figures just seem too good to pass up.The horse alone is amazing and worth to have it just for the detailed pieces.

So, is the Priest the first in the series of figures or are the other characters already released ? Regardless, as soon as that deluxe set with the horse pops up for pre order I will be on it so fast lol

I preordered it from Timewalker Toys. Support Timewalker Toys since they have always treated customers really good.
Tang Monk and White Dragon Horse - Journey to the West - InFlames Toys

Tang Monk is the last of the Xiyouji figures. I only have Monkey King (Sun Wukong) and already miss out Pigsy (Zhu Bajie) and Sandy (Sha Wujing). Oh well, only the Monkey King and his master travel to the West I guess. LOL.

These ARE the TV show figures, though not the one you are thinking about. I am not sure if Saiyuki (Japanese title of Monkey, which is litteraly the Japanese word for "Journey to the West") was popular in China despite that the series was popular in various English-speaking parts of the world. That said, it did spawn a reboot tv series that was short-lived. Medicom's version of Monkey is from the reboot. That said, I do find it odd that Medicom didn't do figures from the classic Japanese series since they did one from the reboot.

As for these figures, these are based on the '80s show shown in China, which was more popular than Monkey in various parts of Asia. that said, the Inflames Journey to the West figures are based on the Chinese series rather than Japanese series:



Interestingly enough, there is an upcoming movie of Journey to the West co-produced by Hollywood and China with the living actors from this season 1 and 2 of the Chinese series reprising their roles even though it is likely a new, unrelated storyline.
