Default Re: Asmus Toys - Thranduil

I had completely forgotten about this figure! Can't wait to get an update on him! (Though Asmus has quite a lot in their lineup right now, so I don't think we'll be getting much of one for a little while.)

Mr Asmus, Thranduil should come in his king outfit, not only in war-ready ourfit...
    Can that be?

I'd rather him in his King outfit with throne than battle armour, but I'm assuming they'll make what they think will sell better.

Maybe they could make two versions. A deluxe version with both outfits, and one with just the armor.

It'd be cool to see both versions, but I doubt they'll do that. I think their figures from the Hobbit films haven't been selling quite as well as they'd hoped.

Well all two of them they put out had production issues and stock has not even arrived for them at other retailers. I love my Tauriel but did not buy Bard. He looks like a great figure but I just don't have the space for him at the moment (not that I see that changing with my current list of pre-orders).

I will however buy any Elves they make and somehow shoehorn them into my Detolfs.

I'm totally down for every Middle Earth figure Asmus puts out and have bought or pre-ordered them all thus far. But George did mention in one of the other threads that the Hobbit figures haven't been putting up great sales/pre-order numbers though. But I'm still hopeful for more Hobbit figures. Would really love to see a great Thranduil and will definitely buy any version of Thorin.

Well, so far they went with characters which aren't really that cool. Bard and the Dale storyline was lame in the movies. Tauriel and her dwarf romance was extremely unpleasant to the fans as well. I expect some figures from the hobbit, like Thorin, Galadriel, Elrond, The 9 wraiths from dol guldur, would sell very well.

Check out the new picture on Asmus' Facebook. You can catch a glimpse of him in it. Looks pretty promising.
