Default The Canadian dollar surpassed the US dollar!

    1.00 CAD = 1.00324 USD

Yes it's short term due to the fact our country is in line for a recession. Canada's economy always follows its cousin to the south by six months.

This is bad for our export business.

But to Canadian Freaks who buy stuff from the US this is beautiful!

If you're going to spend Canadians, now's the time to do it!

Yeah, it is unbelievable. I remember paying about $1.50 Canadian for a US dollar. The worst thing is the inflated prices we pay for comic books. A standard comic like Amazing Spiderman with a US $3.99 cover price has $4.75 CAN stamped on it. Oh well, at least eBay stuff is now cheaper.

We are making gains on the pound too. The last time I was there in 2001 we were paying about $2.50 Can for 1 pound. I just wish the Canadian dollar would have bigger gains on the Euro.
