In Marvel's Iron Man 3, the movie introduced a large number of new Iron Man armors for Tony Stark’s House Party Protocol and they were called into action at the climax of the film where Tony faced off with Aldrich Killian and his Extremis soldiers.

Today Hot Toys is pleased to officially introduce the 1/6th scale collectible figure of the stylishly designed Shotgun Mark XL, the Hyper Velocity Traveling Suit that Tony Stark has used for close combat against Aldrich Killian!

The figure is specially crafted based on the image of Robert Downey Jr as Tony Stark/Shotgun in Iron Man 3. It features a distinctive armor design with metallic blue and silver paint, helmeted battle damaged head sculpt with LED light-up function, interchangeable battle damaged armor parts, LED light-up functions in chest, palms, and torso, and a circular dynamic figure stand.

A Special Edition will be available for selected markets which includes a Python (Mark XX) mini collectible figure as bonus accessory.

The Shotgun armor will be an exceptional addition to any Iron Man collection!

I think this is a regular release and not an exclusive.

Yeah he's a regular release. Fixed the title. Thought he was an exclusive at first since it's not a full announcement.

The HT Facebook description doesn't mention it being an exclusive.

interesting they keep going back to iron man 3 releases...when they should be capitalizing on the avengers hot streak. or maybe thats over now. but as someone who loves iron man and has bought them all up until...tank today (my mind says no, but my fingers keep clicking to the page) i'm getting pretty iron manned out

They'll be going back to it until they do all 42 armors. Whether it be an exclusive or a limited release the movie carries a bunch of armors for them to produce knowing people will buy it. It's a safe house for them to fall back to and it works with every single release.

Just when I think I'm out HT pulls me back in.

Pretty sure they took advantage of that avengers hype...they announced like 15 figures in 6 months. 15 more of those little mini figure things.

As for this armor...yea! This with tank and mk7 stealth...that will be a cool display!!

I wonder if this will come with two more mini figs like the tank figure, just so they can finish the HPP armors quicker. I also wonder if Hot Toys plans to make the mini figs that came with tank true 1/6 or if that's the only scale we'll get them in.

Yep, it's a tempting armour, indeed. Just a cool design all around. Glad if this is a regular release so I can check out the pictures and not feel rushed to buy. Think this one's going to be popular even by IM standards.

Does anyone else see the face on the back of the armor in the second picture? The screw eyes, triangle nose, and vent for an open mouth... It freaks me out every time I look at that picture.

Still, glad to see this is finally happening.
