Hi!

Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere, but I can't seem to find it.

I want a good quality 89 Batmobile for my new living room (Hot Toys is a little expensive for me right now) and I have come across two Elite 89 Batmobiles online. The one that is available now is approx £150 and one that's available on pre order is approx £60. Each one is called "Elite" and look very similar.

Does anyone know what the differences are between the two models?

I imagine that the higher price Batmobile is obviously better quality, but the differences aren't really clear.

Thanks!

I think it's just gold plating around the exhaustand some trim pieces.Ive never found the Elites to be worth the extra Mattel charge to be honest.

Yeah, I never understood that...I always thought the gold looked super tacky.

The original release from what...2004? was the best. I still have that one. I think a later release had a glossier paint job. So depending if you want glossy or matte, I'd say track down the original releases and forget the overpriced "Elite" version with inaccurate gold highlights.

I Think the " classic" is more accurate than the Elite with its strange colours...
To be closer than the real car i've modified mine to fix the weakneses: the too silver machine guns, the too orange headlights and added a little of colours in the cockpit...
:wink1:
It is a sort of mini HT...

Thanks for the replies!

It's going in a cabinet in my living room so I don't need super duper quality (always nice though) as it will be something to look at.

Does anyone know the differences between the elite and heritage versions of the Batman Forever batmobile? I can't tell a difference from the pics online.

the hertiage's fins are plastic, thats it from the answers I have gotten...

Anyone got the Arkham Knight Batmobile yet? Thinking about picking one up, But it is kinda pricey.

I just picked up the hot wheels 66 batmobile. Its really nice but i got my maths wrong and was expecting it to be the same size as the mattel version :slap

I might grab that too before i decide which one to keep.

I love these Batmobiles! I have the '89, the '66 tv show, and the Tumbler. I guess the basic models - I paid about $60. each. I might also have the '66 Batcycle w/ sidecar. Were there any other models released? I know there was a "battle damaged" version of the '89 that was really cool.

Take a look in the Thread "Hotwheels Elite Batmobiles" there you will find most of your answers.

My Heritage Forever Batmobile arrived overall is a nice piece. Has more plastic than I expected though.... Gonna get the elite in a couple months and compare them...

I picked it up couple of weeks back for 100 bucks. It looks great on the shelf. Only complaints are the canopy lifting on a hinge instead of sliding forward, and it would've been nice of the back opened up.

FYI, that picture is not at all a decent representation of the released product. The one I bought has textured tyres.

My Review of the Heritage Hot Wheels 1:18 Batman Forever Batmobile.

$100 ? Thats sweet, Ill keep looking for a deal then. So far I got the 1/18 89 Batmobile and the Tumbler. Would like to add this to the collection.

Assuming that Batman v Superman doesn't suck, I'll probably pick up that version to go along with my Tumbler, 1989, and '66. I have the Elite '66 and it's my favorite of the three. Nicely detailed.
