PAX Clear Glass/Acrylic doors

Hello

I have a base PAX wardrobe unit coming next Saturday. I need 2x 195x50cm doors with just an outside frame and a clear material in the middle. I know IKEA only sells frosted glass doors, I need some advice on how to modify an existing IKEA door to make the one I'm after.

I was thinking of buying 2x IKEA mirrored doors, smashing the mirrored glass out in the middle hence just leaving the frame. Then sourcing some clear acrylic and just fitting it in the remaining frame. Is that feasible and how hard is that for someone like me to do?
