Yeah, I think I saw that mentioned on TORn's message boards. I expect there will be since there has been for every films before it.

The US release date of this is November 4th and it will be 25 minutes longer.

That will be a ways off, plus they will probably try to package the regular Hobbit trilogy 1st, then the EE with LOTR set with it before they sell it on its own.

The question becomes since they did those bookends for the TE then what is the EE gonna be? I could see some kind of Smaug deal.

If it's worthwhile I may get it, the bookends were cool on their own and always useful so it was worth it.

I was expecting some sort of Smaug as well, but then Weta came out with Smauglet, so now I'm not so sure.
